Describe the epidemiological and biological relationship between COPD and lung cancer, including shared risk factors and mechanisms beyond tobacco exposure.

Integrate lung cancer screening discussions into COPD management using patient-centered, evidence-based communication approaches.

Recognize common barriers to lung cancer screening among patients with COPD and identify practical strategies to support timely referral and uptake.

Utilize available clinical tools and resources, including a clinician-facing infographic, to support screening decisions and care coordination.
